The medicine and the device both matter

MedlinePlus describes jet devices using compressed air, mesh devices using a fine mesh, and ultrasonic devices using high-frequency vibration. It also notes that the medicine can affect device choice.

Those broad device classes do not establish compatibility with a particular formulation. A mist demonstration, a similar cup or a product review cannot answer that question for your care plan.

Bring the right information to your care team

1. Exact device

   Have the complete model and supplied guide available, including any suffix or version.

2. Exact formulation

   Show your prescriber or pharmacist the medicine packaging and directions through their usual care channel.

3. Specific questions

   Ask whether that formulation is suitable for the device and how to resolve any difference between the medicine directions and the device guide.

Do not change a treatment to solve a device problem

Do not dilute, mix, substitute or add medicine based on weak mist, an online comment or a cleaning suggestion. Keep cleaning materials separate from anything intended for inhalation.

If the device stops during treatment, contact your healthcare professional about the interrupted treatment. Product support cannot calculate a replacement dose or decide whether more medicine is needed.

Keep clinical questions in the clinical channel

Mayluck support can help identify a device and its documentation. Ask your prescriber or pharmacist about medication selection, dose, timing and the needs of the person who will use it.

You do not need to send a prescription or a detailed medical history to the help center. When helping someone else, avoid assuming that the buyer’s information describes the intended user.

Does the nebulizer come with liquid, and where do I get it?

Check the contents of your actual order. A device listing or a video that shows liquid in the cup does not confirm that medicine or another treatment product is included. If you cannot tell what arrived, identify the packaging before putting anything in the device.

Ask your prescriber or pharmacist which product is appropriate for your care plan and exact device, and where to obtain it through their usual process. Mayluck’s parts and device store is not a substitute for that medicine check.

Can I use saline, water or a homemade mixture?

A familiar name such as saline does not establish a particular product’s formulation, intended route or compatibility with your device. Show the original product packaging to your prescriber or pharmacist instead of choosing a concentration or preparing a mixture from a comment.

Do not substitute tap water, bottled water or a homemade mixture for a prescribed treatment product. Water specified for a documented cleaning step is a separate use; a cleaning instruction is not permission to inhale that liquid.

What if the medicine is a suspension?

A suspension and a solution are different formulations. Do not assume they are interchangeable or that a liquid is suitable because another Mayluck model appears to nebulize it.

Check the formulation restrictions in the instructions for your complete model and version. If those instructions exclude suspensions, do not use one in that device. If the restriction is missing or unclear, ask for the matching documentation and ask your prescriber or pharmacist to confirm the device–medicine combination before use. Do not change or stop a prescribed treatment on your own to resolve the device question.

Can I add vape liquid, a drink or another non-medical liquid?

No. Do not add vape liquids, food, drinks or other non-medical liquids to the medicine cup. The restriction includes liquids marketed for vaping without nicotine; they are not treatment products for this nebulizer.

Do not run a demonstration with a food ingredient or an unfamiliar liquid to see whether it makes mist. Visible output does not establish that a liquid is safe to inhale or compatible with the device.

I already added something I am unsure about

Do not keep running the device to test the liquid or add another substance to flush it during operation. Keep the original container details and review the handling and care instructions for the exact device.

Ask product support about the device and its documentation, describing what was added and what you observed. You can provide the original product name voluntarily for a device-compatibility enquiry; a prescription, dose or medical history is not needed.
